The Swiss Game Museum invites you to discover Planet Games, an interactive exhibition exploring the links between games, nature and contemporary environmental challenges.

How does the game represent nature? What is its ecological impact?

From resource management to video games where ecosystems are the terrain of exploration and confrontation, nature occupies an essential place in playful imaginations. Since the end of the 20th century, this theme has become increasingly important. Through board games, video games and other forms of play, Planète Jeux questions our relationship with the environment and the worldviews that games shape: should we accumulate resources to win, or work together to preserve the planet?

But the game, behind its apparent lightness, is also the fruit of massive industrial production. Extraction of rare metals, dependence on global supply chains… How can we measure our ecological footprint and imagine more sustainable alternatives?

In collaboration with researchers from the University of Lausanne and HEI Valais, this exhibition invites you to explore these questions in a playful way. Together, let’s reinvent our environmental imagination!

The exhibition runs until March 1, 2026.
