As part of the 5ᵉ edition of the Biennale foodculture daysthis workshop is offered in collaboration with Alexandra Baumgartner, foodculture days and the Musée Suisse du Jeu.
Designed for a young audience, it explores the cultural and ecological importance of seeds through play and storytelling, drawing inspiration from the family of sowing games (mancalas), and more specifically from awélé, which traditionally uses seeds as pawns.
Children will build their own personalized game board using bean seeds selected by artist and researcher Alexandra Baumgartner (CH). The workshop will enable them to discover the rules of awélé, while tackling the question of seeds as a common good and their role in maintaining biodiversity.
👉 Un second atelier, pensé pour les seniors, aura lieu le lundi 9 juin de 14h00 à 15h30.
