"From square to pixel: the archaeology of video games": a major new temporary exhibition on view until January 6, 2025.

This unique event traces 5,000 years of gaming history, from the earliest archaeological traces of rule-based games to contemporary video games. Explore the links between ancient games and modern media, and discover how video games are part of a rich historical tradition. With over 150 historical games and 25 video games, as well as 35 playable experiments, this exhibition is an open window on the evolution of games and their mechanisms through the ages.
