Family Fun Dive: A Weekend at the Riviera Museums

• Date: November 2 – 3, 2024
• Location: 10 museums on the Riviera

This autumn, revive a tradition established in 2000 with the “FamilyWeekendat the Museums”, a cultural and creative escapade specially designed for families. On the first weekend in November, the Riviera’s ten museums open their doors for a series of activities that promise complicity and discovery through art and history.

A Family Workshop not to be missed: Painting and Memory!

• When: Saturday and Sunday at 1:30 p.m. and 3:30 p.m.
• Duration: 1h30
• For whom : Children aged 5 to 9

Details : With a few potatoes and paint chips, create potato stamps to decorate and assemble your own memory game. A workshop where, after playing, each family will leave with their own personalized game, ready to extend the fun at home.

• Registration: Reserve your place online by noon on November 1.
• Price: CHF 10 per workshop per family (1 adult and 1 child minimum, up to 5 people).

Parents’ Stories

At the same time, the Fondation Jeunesse & Familles will be presenting “Histoires de Parents”, a game developed with EDUC.CH. This socio-educational game enriches the family narrative and supports the expression of parents and children.

Special Guided Tours

In addition to our workshop, we offer guided tours free with the ticket price:

• Sunday at 11 a.m.: Guided tour especially for families
• Sunday at 3pm: Guided tour for the general public

A Weekend of Exploration: The MSJ is proud to present its new permanent exhibition “Histoire de jouer: la grande épopée du jeu”. In parallel, the exhibition “From square to pixel: the archaeology of video games” continues to attract and enchant. It’s the perfect opportunity to discover or rediscover our temporary exhibition, extended until the end of February 2025.

The weekend of November 2 and 3 will not only be an opportunity to create, but also to discover and be inspired by the Riviera’s playful and cultural heritage. Join us on a playful adventure through time and games!
