After nearly fifteen months since its opening, the exhibition Plan\u00e8te Jeux<\/a><\/strong> closed its doors on Sunday, July 5. The entire team at the Swiss Museum of Games would like to extend a warm thank you to the thousands of visitors who came to explore the exhibition, participate in its many activities, and share their passion for games with us. <\/p>\n\n

Now it\u2019s time for a new adventure. The museum\u2019s first floor is undergoing a major transformation to host our next temporary exhibition, Playing Cards: From Their Origins to Trading Cards<\/a><\/strong>, which will open on Friday, August 21<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n

The museum remains open all summer<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n

During this installation period, the museum remains open and welcomes you to its permanent exhibition The History of Play: The Great Epic of Games<\/a><\/strong>, an exhibition that traces several millennia of the history of games through a remarkable selection of objects.<\/p>\n\n

Our game room is also available for enjoying a fun time with family or friends playing a variety of board games.<\/p>\n\n

If the sun is out, be sure to enjoy our terrace for a break, a drink, or an ice cream\u2026 and why not extend the fun by playing a game overlooking the lake?<\/p>\n\n

No set price during construction<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n

To allow you to enjoy the museum during this transition period, admission is free until the new exhibition opens<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n

Everyone is free to contribute whatever amount they choose to explore the permanent exhibition Just for Fun<\/a><\/strong>, enjoy our game room, and have a pleasant time on our terrace.<\/p>\n\n
